A Bit Of Background

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in 2019 and to be honest I felt so lost. There is a general lack of information available to help the newly diagnosed deal with this life-altering condition and so I've started documenting my journey with PCOS on this blog covering all aspects of life with PCOS from diet and exercise to anxiety and catastrophising, and I also run a YouTube channel where I talk all things PCOS.

The Mission

The hardest weight to shift for women living with PCOS is commonly the belt of fat around your waist... and unfortunately for me, this belt of fat is the reason that I don't fit into my favorite pair of jeans. My aim is to eventually fit back into them and be able to maintain that healthy weight and effectively manage my PCOS along the way.

So this is where my journey starts. I'll be documenting on TIKTOK my daily updates; not only will this help me keep track of my progress, but it will also motivate me to keep going.

But Meg, How Are You Actually Going To Lose The Weight?

This is a good question and one that I am working on finding the answer to. This will be a trial and error of what foods and what exercise work well. I'm a member of a number of support groups on Facebook such as PCOS Support UK, where I have picked up some ideas of where to start on my journey.

There are a lot of theories about what foods and what exercises are good for women with PCOS and which are not. I can't wait to find out what works well for me and what doesn't!
